Wee Bit of Luck and Happiness

I decided to get into the spirit of St. Patrick's Day and created a fun little card with the leprechaun from Simply Charmed.

He's a cute little thing. I added glitter glue to his buckle and used a gem for his button. I also used foam tape to pop him up since he looks like he's jumping for joy.

The tag was cut from George and Basic Shapes. I stamped it with a set I've had for a while but never used. Here is a close-up of the tag.

Here is the inside:

Thanks!

Get Well Treat

My husband had family visiting from out of town last week. I had never met them before, so it was nice going out to dinner and getting to know them. Unfortunately, the reason they were in town was because their 1-year-old girl needed surgery.

Luckily, everything turned out fine, and I wanted to make something special for her. I decided to make a matchbook card with a treat. I've never made anything like this before, but I wanted to give it a try.

I used Alphalicious for the matchbook cut and Create a Critter for the ladybug and grass. The grass is on foam squares for a little dimension.

Inside the card, I add fruit snacks and attached the bag with glue dots.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

Thanks.

Let's Rodeo!

My daughter is almost 19 months old, and I have been seriously slacking on her scrapbook. I started it while I was still pregnant, but after she arrived, I put it on the back burner.

When I started this scrapbook, it was my first attempt at real scrapbooking, and I wanted the whole thing to be cohesive. So I am using the same paper pack and colors throughout.

Now I'm trying to finish it up before her second birthday, so I've been trying to do one to two pages a week.

Here in San Antonio, it is rodeo time. We went last week, and that spurred me to scrapbook last year's trip.

I used this sketch that I found on Pinterest and Create a Critter to create the layout.

The horse and other cuts were perfect for the rodeo layout. I also added glitter glue.

Thanks

Many Thanks

My father-in-law lives in Colorado, so we don't get to see him much. For my birthday, he sent me a funny card and a generous gift. It was really sweet, and I wanted to send him a thank you card.

I was checking out the Go Fish Challenge Blog and was inspired by their post. The challenge is to create a project using the photo taken off of Pinterest.

Here is what I came up with.

I used a punch for the circles and added buttons. I was trying to keep the card more masculine, but I still added a little ribbon for color. The circles are on foam tape for a little dimension.

I decorated the inside of the card and left some space to right a note.

Thanks!

Sketchy Birthday

Most of my friends live in different cities, so one of my resolutions this year is to send them all cards for their birthdays -- actual cards, not just text messages wishing them well.

My dear friend Jessica, who I've known since the sixth grade, has a birthday next week. I used a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges as the inspiration for her card.

I used Simply Charmed for the cupcake and added gems and glitter glue. The birthday sentiment is ribbon.
I also decorated the inside.

Thanks!

Sweet 15

My cousin had her Quinceanera, a sweet 15 party, over the weekend. There were sparkles and teenagers everywhere!

Her main color was purple and had a stars theme. This is the card I made for her. (Sorry for the horrible picture.)

The "Sweet" is from Create a Critter. The tiara is from Paisley. I cut two of them and layered with pop dots. The "15" is from George and Basic Shapes. I added ribbon, gems and glitter glue for extra sparkle. Because the party had a star theme, I added the little star brads. They also are glittery.  I've had that little pack of brads for about two years. I'm glad I remembered them and pulled them out for this project.

Inside the card, I added more stars.

Thanks.

Sweet Valentines

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! I wanted to quickly share the treats I made for my coworkers. I made these little bags filled with goodies using Create a Critter, Paisley, Simply Charmed and George and Basic Shapes. I them embellished with twine, ribbon and glitter glue.

This is the first time I've made these little bags, but they were a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed the sweets.

Thanks!

First Valentine's Day Cards

This is going to be my daughter's second Valentine's Day, but first time sending cards. I wanted to make a little something to send along with treats for other kids around my daughter's age that we are close to. They are 3x3, so small but cute.

I got the idea for these cards from the cute elephant holding the envelope. It is from the Paisley Cricut cartridge. I went with the theme and cut more animals from Create a Critter. I added the little envelope to those as well. The stamp mat in the background is also from Create a Critter. The stamp, "Sending you lots of love," is from Royal Castle Shoppe's Royal Pain set.

The animals are on pop dots for a little dimension. Inside the card is a simple Valentine's Day sentiment.

These cards were fun for me because all the animals were made using scraps and I got to use cuts I've never used before. Those critters are so cute, I'm sure I'll be using them again soon.

I hope the little ones love these.

Grow Love

I was working on another project when the idea for this card came to me. I started working on it pretty soon after. I like the idea of this card, but the execution could be better. I guess because I didn't have a lot of time to think it through.

The tree is from Create a Critter and I added small hearts from a punch. I used a border punch and ribbon along the bottom.

Inside the card I stamped a Valentine's sentiment.

Thanks!

Inspiring Love

While I was getting my daughter's clothes ready for today, one of her tiny shirts inspired me.

I love the design, so this is what I came up with.

I used a punch for the small hearts in two different pinks and white. It's hard to see, but I also added glitter glue to a few of the white hearts. The love is stamped. Inside the card, I add more hearts.

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

I created a simple Valentine's Day card that came together quickly. I love the mat because it looks like a postage stamp. It is cut from Create a Critter. The hearts are from George and Basic Shapes.

I stamped the "XO" and added gems.

Inside the card, I added another mat and stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!
